518 Rainbow spotted in a big-ol bag of cookies! To keep the community supporting community vibe going we are donating to the Saratoga Center for the Family with every bag of these cookies sold.
50% of the sales of these cookies will go to the Saratoga Center for the Family. The mission of the center is to help provide mental health services to children and families, typically this is primarily through school based services. During these months when schools are closed they have shifted to Telehealth visits and groups to meet the needs of their young clients. They have experienced an increase in need for mental health services because of the isolation due to the COVID-19 restrictions. Help us support this much needed service through the purchase of a bag of rainbow cookies!
About the cookie:
Like all of our treats at Leah's, this cookie is made from scratch using real butter, flour and lots and lots of LOVE. It's a delicious sugar cookie coated in the fun rainbow nonpareils. Baked fresh to order in bags of 12.
A note from the center Executive Director:
Dear Community Members,
Now more than ever, people are feeling anxious. Worry is prominent on the faces of our family, friends, co-workers, and loved ones. Those feelings are pervasive in those who have experienced trauma.
At Saratoga Center for the Family, it is our job to help ease this strain; and we continue to do so, one person at a time.
In response to COVID-19, we are modifying the way we do business to ensure that anyone who needs our help will get it. As doors everywhere continue to close, we want to be sure ours remain open. We are determined to continue to make mental health appointments safe, simple, and accessible.
Trauma, abuse, and family dysfunction doesn't stop because of a virus, and neither will we.
However, like so many other organizations, we’ve had to cancel our March and April events, that includes our annual Power of Hope celebration and fundraisers. Those events are what make it possible for us to provide the critically important services to those who need it most.
We cannot continue to provide those services without your help.
Thank you for support, always. Please stay healthy - mentally and physically.
Sincerely,
Rebecca Baldwin, Executive Director
Saratoga Center for the Family
