You can't even begin to experiment with the art of baking until you know the fantastic scientific properties of the ingredients and how they interact with each other under heat. Baking is both an art and science!

This class will cover the baking basics while we dive deep into the crazy fun science of it all. You will learn about all the essential ingredients and their function. From different types of flour to the difference between baking powder and baking soda, we will fill you with all the facts so that you can become a better baker. We will prepare a recipe live to showcase the science magic, and of course we will be eating it!

This class will be presented in the studio kitchen in the Cakery. You will learn tips and tricks that can be easily replicated at home. This demonstration style class will have time for questions while you watch a live cooking show. There will be sampling and you can bring your beverage of choice.

Class registration is non-refundable and non-transferable towards a future class. You may gift your seat away to a friend if for any reason you cannot attend.
